SOMETHING TO KNOW:
This work is a musical contemplation on a bronze sculpture of a female torso by Hopi artist Dan Namingha.
SOMETHING TO LISTEN FOR:
Neikrug originally wrote the first movement as a complete composition but, in the words of the composer, “its ending pervaded my thoughts.” The third movement was inspired by that ending.
Recorded live in the Kaplan Penthouse on February 11, 2016.
